Stawell made 130—Keenan (not out), 34, -was -top scorer. Braund took seven wickets for 42, Gunn two for 8, Jones three for 51, and Hobson one for 16. England in their second innings lost- three wickets for 164—Gunn, 59; Robson, 74.
SOUTH AUSTRALIA V. NEW SOUTH WALES. Received 10.30 p.m., January 10th. ADELAIDE, January 10. In the match South Australia v. New South Wales, the latter have lost five wickets for 269 runs. Trumper 5 Duff 17 Iredale 83 Noble 0 Hopkins 0 S. Gregory, not out 103 C. Gregory 48 S. Gregorv and Iredale both struck their old form, their partnership being productive of pretty and effective cricket.
ENGLAND V. BALLARAT.
