WAIMATE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The first mooting of the newly elected Mayor and Council was held on Tuesday hist. There woro present—Mr John Manchester, The Mayor-elect, and Couneilbrs Coltman, Freeman, Cameron, Tnkstor, Nicol, Sinclair, Bitehoner, and .Tones. In (he absence of the l-otiving Mayor, the tin '»■ was taken bv Mr Coltman as deputyMayor, and before him Messrs Cameron, Nicol, -Tones, Freeman, Sinclair, and Bitchoner made the statutory declaration and woro installed, as Councillors.
