The inquest 011 the body of Darnley, one • of the victims of) the Sydenham railway accident on February 15th, was resumed today. Doyle, the driver of the derailed engine, had recovered sufficiently to attend. His .evidence threw no light oh the .caused of the accident. He considered, the engine and line to be both in good order. He was driving at the usual speed, and could assign no reason for the disaster. The jury found that Darnley died of injuries accidentally received by the derailment of the train, caused by the high rate of speed' and the defective characteristics of the engine, but whether the condition of the rood added to the derailment there was not evidence to show. The jury added a rider recommending that the "F" class of engine be not used for passenger service, excepting for slow trains, and it be removed from the service! as soon as practicable. .
