MACKENZIE MOUNTED RIFLES.

The shooting match fired last week Brought out 25 men, though the weather ,was mot inviting. On Thursday the light was bad, and on Saturday a cold wind with occasional showers made shooting unpleasant. At the Burke's Pass range snow fell .while the shooting was going on. The shooting on the whole was poor. The prizetakers are:—Trooper F. Smale, Ist, Mr E. Saunder's prize (pair trousers); Quarter-Master-Sergeant Talbot, 2nd (Mr J. McKab's medal). The ammunition prizes go to the 4th and sth' men. Trooper Polhill and Sergeant Werry, as the Ist class shots, are barred. The following are the principal scores:— 400 500 Hp.
