CAPSIZE OF A SURF-BOAT.
A NARROW ESCAPE. Per Press Association. WESTPORT, May 1. A sensational incident occurred at Granity to-day, when the recently-built surf-boat capsized in the breakers. The occupants, Munn, August and Dickson, were cast into the water, and in great danger of drowning, when a young man named Hardie rode into the breakers, and after a great struggle with the waves, being washed off his horse several times, succeeded in reaching August and Munh, who, the one holding on to Hardie's leg, and another the-horse's tail, were then dragged ashore. Dickson was also rescued. All the men were in a very exhausted state.
