Pei- Press Association. NAPIER, January 4. The Poverty Bay cricketers met a combined Napier team.. The visitors won by 17 runs. CANTERBURY v. AUCKLAND. CHRISTCHURCH, January 4. ' The interprovincial cricket match between Canterbury and Auckland commenced this morning on a good wicket. There was a small attendance. Auckland batted first, and totalled 210. N. Lusk (85) gave a dashing display of hitting all round the wicket. The soundest innings for the visitors was that of Hay, who made 37. Callaway and Robertson bowled during most of the innings, the former proving very troublesome. Canterbury after losing the first wicket at 25, made a fine stand, Sims and Ollivier showing good four for their runs'. The following are the scores:— AUCKLAND.
