CRICKET.
AUCKLAND F, WELLINGTON. Per Preas Association. f AUCKLAND, April 14. The cricket match Auckland v. Wellington, commenced to-day m the domain. There w:is a moderate attendance, the weather was perfect and the wicket difficult. The Governor and Lady Eileen Knox were present. The scoring through the day was slow. Auckland were all out for 84— Neill 18, Wynyard 15 (not out), Clayton 12, reached double figures. Tucker had a good analysis of 7 wickets for 48, XJpham having 3 for 33. Wellington made an even worse show and only realised 59— Uphaxn 17 and Tucker 16 being the only players who showed any form against the excellant bowling of Neill, who obtained 6 wickets for 29 runs. Auckland m their second innings made 17 for three wickets.
