The Farmers' Exchange Company report on last Saturday's sale as follows :— Poultry, good entries m every line : prime table roosters 3s 3d to 4s 3d, small 2s 3d to 2s 9d, heus 2s 3d to 3s, ducks 33 3d to 3a 9d per pair, geese 2s to 2s 6d each. Pigs sold at good prices. Whole fow'. wheat 12s, broken 7s~6d to Bs. Oats 93 6d per sack, sacks m. Potatoes, season practically over ; for Derwents 3s to 7s 6d per sack, new about If d per lb. I Batter 3d to 6d per lb. Eggs 5d to Bid per dozen. Akaroa cheese, loaf sid, large size sd. The Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association, limited (per Mr J. Mundell, auctioneer), report on the horse p.nd cattle market at Tattersall's yardß on Saturday, as follows :— Our entry comprised 35 horses, 1 cow, farm implements and sundries. The attendance of buyers and others interested was good, and all horses fit for farm work sold at high prices, and the supply was far short of the demand. We can recommend vendors having young horses to dispose of to consign to this market, m order to secure satisfactory returns. We quote prices realised during the sale as under : — Draughts, young, with trials, £22 105, £27, £29, £30. £36 10s to £40; do aged and light, £14 10s, £18 to £20; light harness si rto, £7155, £8 to £10; hackiieys, £5 10s to £7. Cows, £3 10s. In the estate of the late Thomas Roberts (by order of the Public Trustee), we submitted to public auction at Tattersall's rooms 10 acres situated at Gleniti, close to Tiraaru. The attendance was good and the bidding started at £13 per acre, and by 10s advances £17 was reached. At this stage 5s advances was taken, and finally the hammer dropped to the bid of Mr C. Bowker at £18 per acre. Clearing sales.— On Wednesday, we held a clearing sale, at Orari Gorge, by ordpr of the executors m the estate of the late E. McMillan. Aged crossbred ewes m the wool, with 50 per cent, of lambs at foot, 3old at 12s 3d. Cattle, furniture and sundries realised satisfactory prices. On Thursday we held a clearing sale at Thorney Bank, St. Andrews, by order of the executors m the estate of the late A. W. Forrest. The sale was attended by buyers from all parts of South Canterbury, and on inepection the farm, stock and plant were found to be all good of their kind aud|in excellent condition, and all lots advertised sold at high prices. In sheep halfbred and three-quarter-bred ewes m the wool, with about 95 per cent, of lambs at foot, all counted, sold at 9s Id. Cows close to calving, £4 10s to £5. Draught horses, £29 to £34.
