The following team has been selected by the Wairarapa Rugby Union to proceed on a tour to Canterbury :— Full back, H. Wrigly ; three-quarters, Ross, H. Booth, and McGovern ; five-eighths, Maguiie, Hall, and Hudson ; wing forwards, Woon, and Mitchell ; forwards, Watson, Cochrane, D. and E. Uddy, Emmett, Cadwallader, and Dockery. Emergencies — Back, W . Thompson ; forward 0. Percy.
The following will play for the Colonial Ist next Thursday afternoon against the Star Ist on the Athletic grounds :— Boys, Parr (captain), Malcomson, Shirtcliffe, Mackenzie, Aimers, Mara, Oxby, Mackenzie, Lithgow, Stapleton, Lack, Niall, and Healey. A football match will be played on Thursday afternoon between the White Rose and Timaru Main School football teams. The following will represent the school :— Evans, Davidson, Lane, Walker. Boyd, Hodge, Young, llodgcrs, Warner, Whittakev, Smith, Thomson, Davy, Gabites, and Cody. The following will represent the Temuka Junior Football Club m thenreturn match with the Timaru Woollen Factory to-morrow at Timaru : —D. McCaskill, B. Campbell, L. Radford, J. Lavery, P. Grant, W. Storey, C. Hooper, R. Williams, J. Grant, P. Gaffaney, W. Grant, M. Brosnahan, S. Meredith, F. Preddy, F. Storey.
The following will play for Timaru against Ashburton, at Ashburton, on Thursday : — Full back, Conn ; threequarters, Alf. Boys, 8. A. Boys, Hilton ; nve-eighths, Buchanan ; half, Helean ; forwards, Chishqlin, Ker, Gardner, Macintosh, Taylor, Wright, Hall,McCullough and Dr Cox. Anyone unable to play is to let the secretary know at once. The team will leave by the 11.55 train, returning by the excursion.
The Star Ist will be represented by the following m the junior flag match v. Colonial Ist, on the Athletic grounds : — Newton, J. Fox, P. Fox, W. Strachan, Waterhouse, Bagust, Peattie, C. Home, Larkin, B. Gilchrist,, Patterson, Thomson, Bright, F. Fox, Flynn. The trophy match High School v. Star 2nd, will be played on the same ground. The Star will be represented by Pearce, Oborn, Dale, McGowan, Kelly, Anderson (2), Hill, J. Gilchrist, Finnic, Crerar, D. Strachan, Sutherland, Findlay, Gardner, Armstrong, Blanchett, J. Home, Butcher, .Rogers.
