Oats.— The market continues very firm and advancing. Present iudicitiqns point to a further improvement m price. A good deal more business would be done if buyers could purchase*' at present quotations, but most sellers being under the impression that the market has not reached the top, are not ; disposed to quit at present. The quantity available is within very small dimensions, and there are very few now to come forward. Quotations are — For prime feed and milling Is 8d to Is 9£d, medium to good Is 7d to Is Bd, inferior to medium Is 5d to Is 6d, odd lots of prime long tartarians and Sutherlands, tit for. seed, Is 8d to Is 9|d (ex store, sacks extra ; net). Barley.-— There is rio improvement to note m the demand for malting, though owing to the-high price of wheat odd < lots of barley are being occasionally placed for feed.
