(By Telegraph,) MASTERTON. June 7. The inquest on the body of Arthur Her" bert concluded this evening with a ver diet of wilful murder against Andrew JSomerville. No new facts were elicited* Somerville continues calm and unmoved. Herbert's remains will be taken to Herbertville, Hnwke's Bay, where he leaves a wife and seven children. WELLINGTON, June 7. Andrew John Somerville, the perpetrator of the crime, was charged at the j Masterton Court to-day with wilful murder. Prisoner walked with a firm step
into court, and beyond casting his eyes piercingly into the assembled crowd, seemed to take no interest m the proceedings. Mr Pownell appeared on h is behalf. On the application of the police prisoner waß remanded till Saturday morning.
