ADDINGTON MARKETS. By Telegraph. CHRISTCHURCH, January 16. CATTLE. \ alues are without alteration. Steers sold at £8 7s 6d to £8 15s, secondary £5 to £7 10s, heifers £6 to £7 10s, cows £6 to £6 12s. In dairy cattle about 60 cows and springers came forward, but little business was done. In store cattle there was a mixed entry. Three and four-year-old steers sold at £4 to £5 ss, two-year-old steers £3 to £3 ss, yearlings and 18 months old mixed 30s to 455. SHEEP. Prices remain unchanged, viz., prime heavy weight crossbred wethers 12s to "" 138 6d, freezers 11s to 12s 6d, secondary sorts 8s 6d to 10s 6d, best crossbred ewes 8s 6d to 10s, secondary 6s to Bs, merino wethers 6s to 10s 6d, merino ewes 4s to 6s. In fat lambs a large entry met a good enquiry for those fit for export, and prices rose from 6d to 9d per head, quotations ranging from 7s to 12s 3d. In store sheep 4-tooth crossbred wethers sold at 9s 6d to 10s lid, store lambs at 8s 6d. PIGS. Baconers and porkers may be quoted from 3d to 3£d per lb.
