' The monthly meeting of the Board wai ' held on Monday last, there being presen Messrs F. R. Flatman (chairman), W Deßenzy, J. Kelland, A. Metcalf, an< ' K. Brophy. j The following tenders for works wen . accepted :— Contract No. 435 — Earthworl J at Barker's Gully, Raukapuka, T. Lor< \ & Co., £16 Bs. No. 436— For cocksfoo seed on roads and reserves, Edwin Bull ' £3 2s 6d. No. 437— For 200 yard ' shingle, Taylor's road, Raukapuki Downs, D. Oregon, £34 103. No , 440— formation, fords, etc., Sheep Dii \ Road, Beautiful Valley, F. Borrell £21. The following were accepted unde the co-operative system for settlers oi the Orari Village Settlement and it I serve 389:— No. 338— 440 yards shingU J Railway Road, reserve 389. Nos. 439- --\ 360 yards of shingle, railway road . reserve 389. The tenders were decide ' by lot. No. 438, £22— Batty and O'Nei; * No. 439, £18— Buckley and O'Connor. \ The following correspondence wa " dealt with : — £ From Mr J. Bray, offering shingle ou I of section 22540, at 4d per yard, undc ~ 500 yards.— Accepted ; the Board to us V the gravel when required. From Mr G. H.
