At the Primitive Methodist Coi ference yesterday, applications froi ministers from other churches to ent< the Primitive Methodist Church were r< n ceived, but not granted. Arrangemeni ,f were made for the return to England < c the Rev. J. Hindes, on the ground of il y health. The probai tioners' examination committee's report ■ being favourable, all the probationers passed m their respective years. The s remainder of the day was passed m dis- • cussing the stationing of ministers, i which will be concluded to-morrow. ' At the final reading of stations the Rev. J. Sharp was appointed to Timaru ; Rev. J. Olphert to Asnburton ; Rev. W. Harris to Geraldine; and Rev. J. Glover to Waimate and Oamaru.
