At a meeting of the committee of the Chamber of Commerce tho resolution passed by tbe Canterbury Chamber regarding hold* ing an international monetary conference was approved, as also waß the same chamber's resolution re banks amalgamation. A resolution was passed that the proposal m the Supreme Oourt Bill to deprive judges of the right to comment on the faots of a case heard before a judge and jury, will render it much more difficult for a jury to arrive at a sound conclusion on such faots, and will tend to interfere with the administration of justice.
