From a good start Marvel and Loyaltj made the running, along the back Patrol moved tip among the leaders and passing the sheds was at the front with Parii coming fast. In the straight Patron wai hotly pursued by Paris, Euroka, Brock leigh and Bungebah, but the chestnu held his own and won comfortably ; Parii beating Euroka by half a length ; Brock leigh fourth; Loyalty and Bungebal next, Time—2min lOfsec. Nobleman ■* Cobbitty 2 Chesterman 3 Other starters — Bonnie Scotland, i Acmena, Collarette. Betting—s to 2 against Bonnie Scotland, 3 to 1 against Nobleman, 6 to 1 against Ohesterman, 7 to 1 against Acmena, 8 to 1 against Cobbitty. Nobleman led all the way. Bonnie Scotland and Chesterman challenged him at the back, but the Derby wiuner had bed enough of it at the sheds, and fell back beaten. Cobbltty came with a rush m the straight, and for a moment looked like winning. All three were under the whip, buk Nobleman held his own, and won' by a length. Time—2min llsec. Wycombe Stakes ; 1 milo and 3 furlongs. Atlas 1 Lady Trenton ... 2 Bungebah 3 Betting—2 to 1 against Lady Trenton, 3 to 1 against Ruenaft, 7 to 1 against Jeweller, 10 to 1 against Atlas. Ronda made the running to the six furlong post when Atlas touk command. Lady Trenton made her run too late, and Atlas got home by a length. Time—2min 28aec. Sydney Handicap ; H mile. . The machine was used to start them, Candour taking the lead, followed by Mr Gollan's horse and Gingham. After going 7 furlongs The Possible was m command, with Launceston also m a good position. The Possible was still m front on entering the straight, but soon after was done with. Royal Rose came on the outside and romped home from Uabba, who with Florrie both passed the New Zealander.
