directors are unanimous in their opinion that to their president, Mr W Priest, belongs all honour for the admirable manner in which they were arranged, and the deoided success they were. The retiring direotors are Messrs Ferguson, Egan, Moßride, Cameron, Oaldwell, A O and T Pringle, Gunn, G P Wood, and Mundell." The chairman, in moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, eaid that be must confess that it had been a souroe of ploasure to him to preside at their meetings. There had been no unpleasantness of any kind during the year and he was sure that the directors had worked hard to assist him and to forward the interests of the looiety j and ho must also bear witness to the excellent way the secretary and honorary treasurer had carried out their duties. He bad to thank all very heartily for the support given him, and vacate the ohair with muoh regret. Ho promised that ho would do hit beat for the sooiety as a direotor during the next year. Mr W Evans seconded the motion and voiced the feeling of the whole society when he said that Mr Priest had proved to be the " right man in tho right plaoe." Nominations were then taken for the office of directors when 13 gentlemen were proposed and seoonded. The poll resulted as follows: -Messrs A O Pringle, T Pringle, S Moßride, D J Oaldwsll, J McK Thompson, W Gunn, B Ferguson, A Sinclair, M J Bhepherd, and F Cameron. These gentlemen aot with the ten direotors who have been longest in offioe. Mr David Stuart was unanimously reelected auditor, and the general meeting dosed with a conversational discutsion on certain natter*, an important suggestion by Mr G Triggs that the direotors should consider the question of introducing oyoling races for oash amateurs being duly minuted. At the meeting of directors held afterwards, Mr W Evans moved, and Mr Emil Hall seconded, that Mr W Priest be re-eleoted president for the year. Both gentlemen spoke well of the sterling and excellent work done by Mr Priest during" the past year, whish thanks greatly to his efforts had been most successful. \ The motion was carried unanimously, and Mr Priest feelingly returned thanks. He hoped that the inooming year would be just as pleasant as the last. His duties had been no great trouble, and he bad always looked forward to their meetings with pleasure. Other offioera were elected as follows — Messrs A Sinolair and T Pringle, vicepresidents ; Mr F Cameron, hon treasurer (re-eleoted on tho motion of Messrs W Evans and F Palliser) j seoretary, Mr A Allan (raelected on the propoial of MrT Harney, who spoke well of the way the duties had been carried out) ; ground committoe, Messrs I Pringle, M Jbhepherd, F Cameron, E Hall, and F Palliser , programmee committees—musio and dancing— £6o -Messrs Orerar, Ferguson, and A Sinolair ; running, walking, and oyoling— £loo— Gunn, Mahoney, Shepherd, and Caldwell , general sports —£60— Messrs W Evans, D Stuart, A O and T Pringle, Thompson and Harney ; starter —Mr John Meikle. The total prize money was fixed at about £240, and after passing a vote of thanks to the ohairman an eDthusiastio meeting plo:ed.
