A Conference bstwccn tho Bailway Comu?ie3ionorß and tUo Maritime Council on the question of employment of casual labour m tho railway 6heds and railway tracts on wharves takes place to-morrow morning. At to-day's silting of the Council Iho rules adopted bj the Federated WharE Labourers, Darters, nad Erpre39men'a Fnioa were revised. Air Lotnas having arrived, tha moro important questions were gono into by the Maritime. Council this afternoon. Applications wero received from several of the Trades and Labour Councila m the colony to bo afliliated with tho Maritime Council. Iliia led to a long discussion. Tha prevailing opinion of members was that there should bo ono controlling body for the colony, and that the Maritime Council should bo fiiod upon as such. Tho question was regarded as of so much importance that it was not thought adyisablo to come to a decision at once, and it was resolved to refer the matter to the various Trades and Labour Council?, inviting them to formulate a scheme for placing the wholo of the labour organisations of the colony under one controlling body. Tho question will be brought up at next meeting of tho council, which U to be held m October, and it is probable that somo definite arrangement, will thea bo come to.
