(By Telegraph.) NEW PLYMOUTH, ArsiL 18. ' In the Supreme Court, m the case of Philpotts who was charged with stealing a watch the jury could not agree, and they were ordered to etand aside. Tha man will ba tried by a new jury on Monday. The case of a Muori named Tutangi, charged with sheep stealing, is now being heard. DUNEDIN, AmiL 18. Tho Supremo Court is occupied with a ease, Official Assignee of Christchurch m Morr's cstato v. George Chick, of Port Chalmers. Ihe action is to have the sale of the Otara Dairy Factory at Toitois, from Marr to riofendunt declared void, on tho ground that it was made within a few months of the bankruptcy. Tho ca?e will last somo duys.
