Timarn Herald Office, Saturday ovening. AUCTIONEERS' REPORT. Messrs Gracie, Maclean and Co. report for the past fortnight, as follows : — HOBSES. At the Timarn Horso Bazaar, our entry was no improvement on tbe state of matters for some weeks past, and although bnyors are prepared to f?ivo long prices for draughts suitable for harvest work, they cannot get their wants supplied, and wo again remind owners who have any for sale that they Bhould not lose the present opportunity of sending them forward. Light hornes3 horses of good quality ore still in good demand. We quoto medium to good draughts at from £15 to £23, inferior and aged £8 to w£l2. Hooks — medium up to .£l3, light and woedy __ to £7. SHEBP. At Pleasant Point, on the Gth inst., thore was an average entry, aud a brisk demand for all classes. A few lines of freezers wero eagerly competed for, and the demand for these continues lo improve. At Washdyke yards only a few penß of stores wore to hand, acd but little business done. We have sold 217 wethers at 12s 7d, 35 owes and wethera at 63 id, 335 ewes and lambs at 3s -Id, 50 fat sheep at 10s 3d, 30 fat ewes at 10s. CATTLE. There is very little animation at present in the mat-feet for stores, jrri— ;iers evidently being afraid, on account of tho dryness of the season, to overtax their pastures. Tho supply of fat cattlo has been much beyond the requirements of the local trade, but still best quality beef has not been sold under 18s per lOOlbs. At Pleasant Point and Washdyko we sold -1 heifers at __ 10b, 2 heifers at _4. 3 steers at £-i 10s, 3doat £2 lOs, 1 milker at .£5, 1 do at £i 10s, 14 heifers at 2Cs to 355, C cows at -2 5s to £2 15s, IG yearlings at It- to 18s, and privately, 20 prime fat heifers at quotation. PIGS. At Pleasant Point, we sold 8 weaners at lis, 0 slips at 143, 15 porkers at 255. We have onqoiries for a large nnmbor of young stores. SKINH. We aold during the week 800 skins and pelts at full values, a3 undor :— Full-woolled eros3breds up to 7a 6d. Country skins — Medium ss. 5s 3d. 5s 3d, 6s. and 63 Gd ; pelta 4d, Bd, lOd, ls4d, andlsGd.
