Sydney, Nov. 4 The delegates representing the miners on strike have mado overtures to tho miue-masters, suggesting that all differences with reference to the striko should be sunk, aud that nothing should be allowed to interfere with tho men obtaining re-employment. The masters are fjuite willing to agreo except in the case of officials, but jthe men declined the compromise on those terms and stated that they were prepared to stand by their officials. Several Italian miners working in West Wallsand mine have averaged £7 103 for tho past fortnight. They arc so satisfied ivith the result that they have communicated with their relatives in Italy to come out to the colony.
