The financial year of the colony doea not close until tho end of December. The estimated revenue to the end of Juno is £006,800, and the estimated deficiency to the end of December is £183,000. The revenue shows a good increase, but the expenditure ha 3 also increased. The Treasurer proposes a Jd tax m the£ on personal estate. The ad valorem duties are to be raised to 12i per cent.
