The following is the Christchurch Corn Exchange- report for the week ended Friday, June 24th, 1887 :— The holidays this week have interfered with business, and but fair transactions are to ba recorded. The collapse of the American ring and tho improved prospects of the new crop at Home have had a weakening tendency in this market, and to secure cargo fer shipment to London concessions will havo to be granted in the way of freight. "WHEAT. Sales during the week have been of a limited character, holdera being: disinclined to grant conceßaions, and buyers are not prepared to buy beyond actual requirements. Pearl and Tuscan remain3 at 3s 7d for prime lines, and Hunters is changing hands at 3s 5d to 3s 6d. Wholo fowl wheat is scarce at 3s 3d, and broken at 2s 10s to 23 lid. OATS. A fail' trade is being done in short heavy feed at Is 9d to Is lOd and milling have been placed as high as 2s ; long and inferior lines are not so saleablo at Is 7dand Is Bd. BAHLET. Prime malting is firm at 4s with little offering ; Becond quality has plenty of enquirers at 3s 6d to 3a Od j feed is wanted at 2s 3d to 2a 4d. BEANS Havo firmed und uvo worth 3s Id to 33 2d. PEAS Are dull. There is but little outside demand for Prussian Blues, and feed sorts can only be sold in small parcels for pig feed at 2s id to 2s lOd. GEAS3 SEED. Eye grass is still very quiet at our last quo tations, but Cocksfoot is a little moro brisk, several orders being in tho market for bright heavy aeod at 3Jd to 4d. POTATOES. Derwenta are as nearly as possiblo unsaleable. A few small lots for local consumption hare changed hands at 25s at Cbristchurch, but there are no orders for shipping parcels. DAISY PRODUCE. Butter, if prime, ia readily saleable at 7d, but cheese shows no improvement in value, Bd being the top figure for the best loaf shape. The abovo prices are those paid to farmers and delivered f.o.b. Lyttelton, sicks extra.
