range with the Government for a block of land upon depositing ten shillings on behalf of each member. On approval of tho block the Government will carry out a survey. The land selected shall bo held on perpetual lease for the first term r.f 30 years, and for subsequent terms without the right of acquiring the freehold. The rental is \o be based on the capital value of land, but not less than nn acre can be held, and no lease would be issued until the first half-year's rent is paid. No allotment is to bo more than 50 acres. Married men will have preference. Each member of tho association will be required to occupy his section, and to make permanent improvements, which are defined m the regulations.
