The second day's racing of the Victoria Amateur Turf Club's meeting took place at Caulfic ld to-day. The weather wna fine but cloudy. There was a largo attendance, including the Governor and suite. Hero Britisher, Ben Bolt, Tho Levito, and Silver Mine, however, camo up to Boolka, and at the turn for home were well together m front. Britisher led a bit into tho straight, but Silver Mine and Ben Bolt soon headed him and had a splendid tussle to the winning post, Ben Bolt finishing by half-o-neck from Silver Mine, Britisher a good third. Jim Cain fell early m the race. Timo — 2min 42sec.
