AUCKLAND INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION.
* (By Telegraph.) AUCKLAITD, Oct. 5. A meeting was held last nigbt of the In- . dastrial Association just formed, for the purpose of promoting local industries by the adjustment of tariffs and other parliamentary means. Over 80 members were present, and addresses were delivered m favour of protection. Mr Gr. Fraser was elected president, Mr John Lamb vice-president, and a large committee, embracing the Hon. Mr Clinmberlain, M.L.C., who stated that m his sphere he would do all he could to uphold protection
