(By Telegraph.) Auckland, Sept. 30. The body of Stuart Jameson, the missing Onehunga oysfcerman, was found at Wilks Island, Slanukau. No further news has beeu received redpectiug tho wreckage found near Port Macquarrie. There is reason to believe tlint the name on the board found may possibly be that of the schooner Sovereign, of Auckland, which was dismasted m a gale off the Australian coast Borne weeks ago. There were 100 cases m tho Resident Magistrate's Court to-day, principally for debt. E. Greening, a well dressed woman, was arrested while trying to purchase laudanum at a chemist's. She had threatened to poison herself. Just as tho Tnrawern, was leaving the wharf a levanter, booked for Melbourne was nrrested for attempting to abscond from his creditors. Two local dairymen are being prosecuted for selling adulterated milk. Mr Justice Gillies presided at tho Supreme Court to-day for the last time prior to taking a year's leave of absence. No mention of his departure was made m court. Mr Justice Ward holds sittings m Chambers to-morrow. Wellington, Sept. 30. At the Resident Magistrate's Court to-day, George Pitt, a brewer, was fined the full penalty, £5, for supplying ten gallons of beei to a person under a prohibition order. This is the first conviction of the kind here, tin difficulty having beon to prove that the accused had a knowledge of the prohibition orders. Dunbdih, Sept. 30. Six runs ■were offered lor sale to-day by the Government auctioneer, but only one was cold. Two tradesmen who decided to contest the right of the police to order the removal of goods hanging m the doorway, and slightly abutting on tho street, wore fined 5s and costs after an inspection by the Resident Magistrate. The harbour board have adopted a by-law providing for charging only ono pilotage on home steamers calling more than once on eaoh voyage.
