CHRISTCHURCH PRODUCE MARKET.
The following is the Christohurch Corn Exohango report for the week ended Friday, the 3rd inst. : — The weather continues unfavourable for farm work, and the soason is exceptionally backward as regards sowing and planting. The business transactions for tho week have been chiefly confined to_ store lines, country deliveries being exceptionally few and far betwoon. Wheat has had a brisk business and last week's prices aro firmly maintained. Tnscan and pearl a r e most scaroe at Is 'Id, the latter being eagerly taken for local milling, Hunters' ha 3 boen placed m largo parcels at 4s 3d, second quality ranges from 3s lid to 4s 2d, and ohiekwheat at 3s 7d to 3s lOd. Oats continue to be offered at prices moro favourablo to buyers, and last week's quotations show no improvement. Milling are not plenti-ful-at 2s sd. Short feed aro dull at 2s 3d to 2s 4d, and long and inferior kinds at 2g Id to 2a 2d. Barloy— Very little prime barley is m the market. Second quality is hard to quit -♦ over 2s 8d to 2a 9d, while feed dcseript' O ns readily command 2s 5d to 2s 6d.
