July 28. At tho Addington live stock market to-day there wore fairly nnmoron3 entries of stock to hand. Tho attendance of buyers waa about an average one. CATTLE. Pat. — Tho rather small supply wa3 barely sufficient for requirements. Quality was a little abovo tho avorago, and the demand fairly keen. Clearances woro made at abont late rates, viz.. 103 to 20s per lOOlbs. Steers sold at from .£5 to £3 53, heifers ££ 15s to JH 2s 6d. Store. — Not a larga entry, and demand not over brisk. A line of 3-year-old steers m fresh condition sold at £5 per head, a line of 2-year-olds at .£3 ss, and a line of 2-year-old heifers at £2 12s 6d. Dairy. — This markot was dull. SHEEP. Fat. — A fairly heavy entry, quality from medium to prime. The demand was pretty fair, but irregular. Late Bales wero abont maintained. Crossbred wethers sold at from 103<5dto 143 3d, for prime medium 8s 6d tolOa, crossbred ewes from 8s to 13s 3d, merino wethers from 8s to 12s 4d — an average price of, say, 2d per lb. Store. — A few were penned, but none were quitted at auction. Moat lines were sold privately previous to the pnblio sale. PIGS. A largo ontry was on offer. Baconcra were m pretty fair demand, soiling at from 24s to 40a por head, porkers from 16s to 235, stores almost unsaleable.
