A MISSING SCHOONER.
(By Telegraph.) IiTTTELTON. Jlllj 27. Somo anxiety is felt at tho non-arrival of tlio schooner Omaha, which trades with the Chathams, under the command of Captain Goodman. She was reported all well at the Chathains on May 27th, and was expected to leave for Lyttriton a month later. The run from the Chathams to Lyttelton occupies a week under favourable circumstances, and a fortnight ia an exceptionally long run, ao that the vessel is more than a fortnight overdue, and there i« a feeling here that something should be done to ascertain her whereabouts. She may have gone ashore at the Chathams and remained there hard and fast, thus cutting off all communication with the islanders and New Zealand.
