THE TARAWERA SUFFERERS.
(By Telegraph.) Wellington, July 20. The Speakers of the Legislative Houses and His Worship the Mayor met His Excellency the Governor to-day, to consider what steps should be taken for the relief of the sufferers by the Rotorua eruption. The Hon. Mr Larnach' was present. After some disoussion it was decided that a conversazione' on a large scale should be held, m the Parliamentary buildings at an early date, and tbat 'he Hon. Mr Miller, the Hon. Mr Walker, the Hon. Colonel Brett, the Hon. VV. J. M. Larnach, Mr J. M. Dargaville, and Mr. J. D. Lance, being three representatives from- each of the Houses, should be a committee to carry out the arrangements.
