BIFLE MATCH.
A riflo match for their prize was fired on Thursday .week and Thursday last at tho Waimate range by the men of the Waimato Volunteers. The ranges wore 200, 300, nnd 500 yards; sovon shots at each. Tho final result was as follows: — 200 300 500 yds. yds. yds. H'cap. Tl. Private Steggell 18 12 15 15 60 „ Sanders 20 9 8 20 57 „ Gallio 14 17 8 18 57 Bugler Harding 14 13 17 12 56 Sanders and Gallio fired off for second and third places, Sanders beating his opponent. Tho weather was fine, and no wind blowing on both days. Tho prizes are—First prizo gold ring, second gold-mounted greenstone pendant, third pair of boots.
