'i WOOL MARKET. Wool — The tone of the market generally to-day is dull. The catalogue comprised 10,000 bales. Breadstuffs and tallow aye unchanged. ROPA ISLAND. Negotiations are m progress between England and France touching the cession of Ropa Island to Great Britain. The French Government appear reluctant to part with the territory. ROUMBLIA. Constantinople, March 30. Russia having refused her assent to the Italian amendment to appoint Prince Alexander Governor of Eastern Roumelia without limitation of time, the European Powers have reverted to the original proposal for five years tenure of office. The Greek Chamber of Deputies meets at Athens on Friday, when it is expected it will grant a forced currency. It is suspected that France and Russia are instigating Greece, which expects that the Powers will now abandon coercion. BULGARIAN AFFAIRS. "WTiile the Powers are undecided amongst themselves as to what action to take, Prince . Alexander of Bulgaria is taking steps to strengthen the ftoumelian frontier.
