March 31. MrD. Stronach reports for tho week endod March 31st as follows -.—

Fat Cattle. — 181 head woro yarded at Bnvnsido to-day for the week's requirements. Onethird of these were good to prime, and the balanco only ordinary quality. Competition was fairly active all throngh, and a slight <idvanco on last week's price 3 was obtained. Two or three of tho best pens realised w£9 10s to .£ll, medium .£7 to .£O, light from ,£3 2a Gd to M 10a, best cows £G to £S 2i Gd, ordinary £3 03 to £o 103.

Fat Sheep.— l 733 were penned. Of these, 150 were meriuo3, and tho baiauco cro3sbrciU. The quality ranged from ordinary to good and prime. Tho latter, particularly wethers, were actively competed for, while good owes, although m good condition, commanded less attention, and, except for these, the prices realised were about equal to last week's. Best crossbred wothora brought 8s to 9s, medium 6s 6d to 7s 9d, best do owo3, young, 7s Gd to 8s 6d, do do, aged, Fs 3d to 7s, mixed do 5s to 8s Gd, merino wetbors 4s 6d to 5s 3d.

Grain. — Wheat — Business during tho past ■week has beeu of limited extont. Tho unsettled weather experienced lately has retarded threshing operations, and no great quantity of the new crop is yet to hand. Thcro is somo inquiry for shipmont, but millers are averse to largo operations at present quotations, which have not materially altered. Prime milling velvet and Tuscan is held for 3s Gd to 3s 7d, red wheat 3s 4d to 3s sd, inferior and fowl wheat 23 6d to 3s Id (ex storo, bags weighed m).
