CHEiSTcntmcir, March 17. Thoro was a good attendance at tho Lower Hoathcoto B.C. Autumn Meeting to-day. £3129 was put through tbo totalisators. The flag fell to an excellent Btart, and tho firat to break tho line was May, who rushed to tho front, followed by Titbit and Patrician. On settling down, May was cutting out tbe running at a fast pace, a length uhead of Rocket, after whom camo Billy and Patrician, whilo Titbit brought up the rear. In this ordor they ran past tho hotel, and round into tho Btraight, but : approaching the Stand, Rocket went up to May, and the pair raced togethor to tho half-milo post, with Patrician their nearest attendant, and Titbit still whipping. Tho latter was then taken through, and May dropping back beaten, three furlongs from homo. Titbit soon caught tho favourite, and having him m difficulties at the distance, had his own way home, winning with a lot to spare, by a clear length, Patrician securing third place, half a length ahead of Billy.
