(Reoter's Agency.) [Received 1.30 a.m., March Bth.] NEW QUEENSLAND LOAN. London, March C. Tenders are invited on behalf of the Queensland Government for a loan of £1,500,000 at & per cent. The minimum is fixed at £103. Tenders close May 11th. HOUSE OF COMMONS. In the House of Commons last night the question of modifying the rules of procedure came under discussion. A motion to enforce their suspension for one sitting only m case of disregard of tbe Speaker's ruling was brought forward, but negatived by a majority of thirty-six. Mr Henry Labouehere, Member for Northampton, brought forward a motion having for its object the abolition of hereditary peerages m the House of Lords, Mr Gladstone, speaking on the subject, stated Her Majesty's Government recognised tho necessity for reforms m the Upper House.

BANQUET TO MR MURRAY SMITH. His Royal Highness the Duke of Cambridge has been asked to preside at the farewell dinner which is to be given to Mr Murray Smith on the occasion of his leaving England for Victoria. NEW PEERS. A cargo of old Australian October lading has baen sold at 35s Gd, and a February cargo at 355. Flour is m better demand, although values have unchanged, and stocks have been reduced.
