Negotiations between the Committee of the Employers' Union and Trades' Council for a settlement of the laborers strike, are still proceeding. The Trades' Council has adopted a draft arrangement to be submitted for the approval of the Board of Conciliation, the men m the meantime to receive Is 3d per hour while working. [Reoeiveci 1 a.m., Jan. 18th..l The ship-owners have accepted the proposal put forward by the Board of Conciliation, and the men will resume work to-morrow morning provisionally at the rate of Is 3d per hour until the difficulty is settled.
