Jan. 13. Mr D. Stronach reports for the week endod January 13th, as follows : — Fat Cattle. — 175 head wero yarded for tho week's requirements. Of these tho half wore good to prime, and tho balance only light and medium quality, somo about half fat. Competition was fairly brisk for good quality, and the prices obtained would cotuparo favorably with those of tho previous weok. Best bullocks brought .£8 to .£lO, ordinary £i 5s to £7 10s, and cows in proportion. Fat Hhcop. 2893 wero penned, and of thoao about 250 were morino wothers of medium quality, tho balance being crossbrods of medium to good aud primo quality. Thia number was double that required for tho consumption, and tho consequence was a fnrthor fall in prices, and thon nearly tho half had to be turned out unsold about sufficient for noxt week's requirements. Best crossbred wethors brought Gs Gd to 83 6d, of ow extra prime heavy weights 10s Gd, ordinary 5s to 6s 3d, merinos, 3s 9d to 4a Gd. Grain. — Wheat — There is a good demand' for all descriptions suitable for milling purposes, also for inferior and fowls wheat. The markot is quite hare, and prices aro advancing in consequence. Wo quote primo milling at 3s 5d to 3s Gd, medium 3s 2d to 3s 'Id, inferior and fowls' wheat 2s Gd to 3s Id ex storo (bags weighed in).
