Gray hold his second wool sale of tho season at his wool aud grain stores, Temuka, to-day, when a very fair cataloguo consisting of 120 bales and 50 bags wool wero submitted. With the exception of one lot of 3 bales, all were cleared at satisfactory prices. Tho trade was well represented, in despite of the ring which was formed among tho merchants aud wool buyers of Christchurch and foreign to do away with country sales. Considering tho class of wool submitted, it was freoly acknowledged at tho sale, by both buyers and sellers, that better value was obtoined than at either tho Timaru or Christchurch late wool sales. In sending wool into his stores, considerable expenso is saved the grower, tho exponso of railago to Timaru and 2s 6d por balo charged by auctioneers to the buyors is done away with, thus allowing tho buyers to give at least one-oighth of a penny per pound more. Merino brought from 5d to GJd, crossbred wools Gid to 7jd, pieces 2Jd to 4Jd, locks ld to 33. Tho next sale will tako placo about tho beginning of Fobruary.
