Adelaide wheat, off coast, is 6d lower, j and ia quoted at 36a per 4801bs ; do ex warehouse, 39a per 4961b5. N.Z. wheat ranges from 28s to 375, according to grade. The wool market ia quiet in tone. Up to the present time 130,000 bales are to band for the January and February sales, which commence on the 19th inst. Jan. 6. Latest accounts of the health of the Right Hon. W. E. Forster, stale that he is improving. Rangoon, Jan. 6. The trouble with the Dacoits continues rife in Upper Burmah. Organised gangs of these robbers are keeping Mandalny and its vicinity in a state of terror. In j consequence of this, General Prendergast | has despatched three columns of troops with the object of crushing the marauders. (Special to the Peess Association.) (Received noon, Jan. 7th.)
