The House met at 4 p.m. EEPLT TO QUESTION. Sir George Grey asked if any applications liad been received by the Government from Samoa, and whether they would accede to them. The Hon. Mr Stout said two letters had been received, but he had not yet had time to consider them. i lEAVE OF ABSENCE. Tbe Hon. Mr Stout, m the abseneo of Mr , Walker, moved that leave of abseneo for the ; session be granted to Mr Coster on account of unavoidable absence m England. — Agreed to. NOTE CCRRESCT BIIX. Heplying to Mr Brown, if the Government will cau;c copies of the Now Zealand Note Currency Bill to be circulated to all local bodies, public libraries, chambers of commerce, agricultural and pastoral societies and farmers' clubs, the Hon. Mr Stout said thero was no objection to circulato copies of the Bill. MESSAGE PROM TIIE COCh"CII/. A Message was received from the Legislative Council, requiring the attendance of members of the House of Representatives to hear the prorogation Speech.
