It is supposed tbat owing to tho opening of her topsides she filled by degrees, nntil eventnally she went down. Wo cive the following extract from the Xew York .Varitii.ic Register for what it ia worth, and without any belief that it has any reference to the now missing ship North American : — " A despatch from Concepcion. Mexico, July 24th, states that the captain of the schooner Annie Marie reports signalling three vessels off Cape Horn completely dismasted, and that a steamer supposed to bo English succeeded m saving one. He is ignorant of tho fato er names of the others." (Bt Telegraph.)
