COMPLAINTS AGAINST THE MANAGEMENT OF THE NEW PLYMOUTHFOXTON RAILWAY.

(By Teleoeaph.) New Plymouth, Sept. 7. A largely attended public meeting was held to-night to consider the question of the railway management on the Foxton-Now Plymouth line. Tho Jlayor occupied the chair, lhe following reso'utions were passed: — " That the management of the New Ply-mouth-Foxton railway is very unsatisfactory, »nd this meeting requests the Members for tho Provincial District to urge upon the Government the desirableness of sending an inspector to inquiro into the working of the lino." " That the following gentlemen, with power to add to their number, be appointed a Committee- to enquire into the present unsatisfactory working of tliis portion of the Now I'lymouth-Foxton lino of railway, with a view of placing evidoneo before the Government m order to obtain redress of the existing grievances, iind place the managoment on a more satisfactory basis : — Mesars J. Paul, T. Kelly, W. Bayley, A. Standish, J. Eliott, W. Humphries, N. E. King, R. Cock, E. Dockerill, Hy. Brown, A. C. Kookes, E. Tribe."
