(By Telegraph.) Wellington, Sept. 7. LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. SIBST EEADING9. The Hon. the Colonial Secretary introducec a Bill entitled The Costley Bequest Ac 1885. The Property Assessment Bill and th Counties Act Amendment Bill were receivec from tho House of Representatives and real a first time. MISCELLANEOUS. The Hospital and Charitable Institution ', Bill was re-committed and reported wit] | amendments. The Rating Act 1882 Amendment (No. 2 Bill waa committed, progress was reported oi it and leave granted to sit again. The Auckland Railway Land Compenßatioi BUI was read a third time and passed. 'J he Property Law Consolidation Bill wo committed and progress reported and th Council adjourned at 6 p.m.
