The Victorian Government have reqaested Admiral Tryon, commanding the Australian station, to despatch a man-of-war to the Auckland Isles to search for the passengers and crew of the ship North American, which sailed from Melbourne for England m February last, and which has not since been heard of. (Received 10.45 p.m., Sept. 4th.) Stdney, Sept. 4. For the Hawkesbury Grand Handicap lo be run on Saturday, September 12th, the favorites are Kathleen, Prince Imperial and Wing. There was but a slight alteration iv the quotations for produce at to-day's market. New Zealand wheat remains at 2s Od per bushel ; New Zealand oats at 2s od per bnshel, has advanced 2d since last report. Maize is Id dearer, 3s 7d per Stiibs. There ia no change m values m pollard and potatoes. Sugar Company's No. 1 pieces are steady at £26 per ton. lEeceired 1.15 a.m., Sept. 4th. i Adelaide, Sept. 4. The Messageries-Maritimes R.M.S. Salazie arrived this morning from the Mauritius. Messrs Ireland, Fraser and Co., reporting on the sugar market there nnder data August 24th, give the stock of sugar as 6000 tons. Harvest operations are stated to have been hindered to a great extent by bad weather which had prevailed. Nothing is doing m the local grain market. Wheat is quoted at 3s lid to 4s per bushel, and Adelaide town flour at £8 5s to £8 10s per ton.
