CHRISTCHURCH PRODUCE MARKET.

The following ia the Christchurch Corn Ex» change report for the •week ended Friday, the 29th inßt. :— Few transactions havo taken place during the past week owing to the holidays. Prices remain much tho samo with the oxception of potatoes, which in consequence of a drop in the Sydney market havo slightly receded hero. Largo quantities of wheat aro still coming forward on growers.' account, most of which unfortunately is going into store. Eeally prime parcels find buyora for local consumption and intercolonial orders, but outside this thoro is scarcely anything doing. Oats are much tho samo us last week, there being only a medium demand for inferior or discolored samples, while there is a fair enquiry for really good bright and heavy milling. Barley 13 still quiet, and very few parcols have changed hands. There is a fair enquiry for clean farmers' parcels of ryegrass for spring sowing. A keen demand exists for Prassian-bluo peas, whilo Loans are almost neglected. Quotations as follows : — Wheat— Prime milling, 2s 8d to - Ja lOd ; second quality, 2s 2d to 2b 6d ; fowls' wheat, Is 9d to 2s, f.o.b. Oats — Heavy bright feed and milling, la 8d to Is lOd ; inferior and discolored, Is Id to, la Cd, f.o.b. Barley— Good malting, 3s Cd to 3s 9d ; second class, 2s 9d to 3s 3d ; feed, Is 9d to 2s, at Christchurch. 1 Grass Seed— Clean farmers' parcels, 2a 9d to 3s 3d ; machine-dressed, 4s to 4s 3d, f.0.b.; cocksfoot, bright seed, 3^d to 3Jd, f.o.b. ! Peas— Prussian-blue, true to name, 3a (id ; ■ feed, 2s 4d to 2s Od, f.o.b. iJeaua— Sa 6$ to 23 7d, f.o.b.

Potatoos— 32s Gd to 35a, at country stations withiu 12 miles of Christohuvch. Dairy Produce— Butter, 9*d to 10a ; cheese, 3\d to J-Jd, f.o.b.
