News received from Kassala dated 20th March states that the Egyptian garrison to that time had maintained its position against the rebel forces. fßeoeived 5 p.m., April llth.l Souakim, April 10 (evening). Sir Gerald Graham has issued a proclamation calling upon the rebel Arabs to submit to him, and furnish provisions and camels for the use of the British, otherwise they must be prepared to take the consequences of their resistance. (Received 0.40 a.m., April 13th.) Cairo, April 11. News of the rising by the disaffected followers of the Mahdi has been confirmed, and it is believed hia forces have been completely destroyed m the fighting at £1 Obeid.
