CHEISTCHUECH PRODUCE MARKET.
The following is the Christchuroh Corn Exchange report for the week ended Friday, the 10th inst. : — The holidays have enoroaohed to a large extent on business during the past week, and transactions have therefore not been numerous. The tone of the market has not been m any way affeoted, and all lines, with the exception of barley, whioh is a little weaker, remain unaltered. It is almost needless continuing to ropeat the fact of so much grain coming forward iv bad oondition, nevertheless wo would still urge on farmers the propriety of using greater care m classing, on account of many good lines being depreciated by being plaoed with inferior lots, The following are the latest quotations : — Wheat— Sound dry milling, 2s 6d to 2s 9d ; chick wheat. Is 6d to 2s, f.o.b. Oats — Bright milling, Is lOd ; sound short feed, Is 9d ; inferior and discolored, Is 5d to Is 8d,f.0.b. Barley — Prime malting, 3s 3d to 3a 9d ; second quality, 2s 9d to 3s ; feed, Is 9d to 2s, Christohurch.
