A Convention is now sitting here to discuss the question of separation of Northern from Southern Queensland. All the delegates present are representatives of Northern districts. [Eeceived 9.45 p.m., April 10th.] Sydney, April 10. The third day's races of the Australian Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting took place to-day at Randwick. The various events resulted as follows : —Two-year-old Plate, five furlongs— Keith 1, Belle Mahono 2, Discord 3. All Aged Stakes, one mile — Asprodea 1, King's Own 2, Abner 3 ; won easily. Welter Handicap, one mile and a quarter — Mascotte 1, Rainbow 2, Happy Thought 3. Twenty horses Btarted. Mascotte won easily. Time — 2min ll|sec. First Foal Stakes, 1885, six furlongs — Uralla 1, Manchester 2, Monte Christo 3. Won easily. Cumberland Stakes, two miles — Reginald 1, Commotion 2, Off Color 3. City Handicap, one mile and a half— Merlin 1, Tom Brown 2, Coriolanus 3. Sailed, this day — Hauroto, s.a., for Wellington. New Zealand wheat has advanced to 2s 6d ; New Zealand oats to 2s 2d. Maize has declined to 3s ; Sugar Company's No. 1 pieces remain at £26.
