The transport Iberia, with the New South Wales contingent for the Soudan, arrived here at noon to-day. | Received 8 p.m., March 27th.] Souakim:, March 26 (9 p.m.). The hostile Arabs made an attack today on a convoy which was proceeding to the zareeba which has been formed on the road to Tamai. The attack was repulsed by tbe British troops, the enemy losing a hundred men. The only casualties on the English side were three wounded. A general advauce of the whole force is expected to take place during the next three days. : fEeooived 2 p.m., Maroh 27th.l Sydney, March 27. The Soudan Contingent Indemnity Bill has passed through both Houses of Parliament, and Parliament has been prorogued; (Received 1.10 a.m., March 28th.) Aden, March 27. In the attack made by the rebels on the convoy at Suakim, Lieut. A. E. Marchant, of the Royal Marines, was wounded. March 27. The Arabs keep up an incessant attack on the convoys m the neighborhood of Suakim. Their losses are heavy and include a number of women. Lieut. Marchant was wounded m the the leg, but not severely.
